Mike Zawalski has a proven track record of leadership and value creation in public and private equity owned businesses. Mike has significant experience as a Chairman, Operating Partner, CEO and CFO. Since 2003, Mike has been Chairman and Operating Partner for15 portfolio companies for seven different private equity sponsors as well as an interim CEO three times.
In addition to his role as Chairman of MSQ, Mike is currently Chairman and Operating Partner for three private equity owned businesses in technology, manufacturing and business services. Over his career Mike has worked with more than 20 private equity sponsors leading operation due diligence, developing investment thesis and strategy, providing oversight and governance, coaching and mentoring CEO’s and has done substantial work on well over 100 opportunities spanning multiple industries globally.
Mike has also held executive leadership positions at WorkflowOne, Mail Well, Inc., Ryder, The Coleman Company, Quaker Oats, Heller Financial and Arthur Andersen. Mike has a Master of Management from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Administration from Illinois State University.
